Renault Clio II

The Renault Clio II is a Automobile French mark Renault. Second generation of Clio (Clio I: 1990) followed third generation (Clio III: 2005).

This car left in 1998 and was deeply restylée in 2001. She was a nice success on the French market, in spite of her rival the Peugeot 206 with the close services.

The restylage of 2001 offered more affirmed front face to him and nearer to contemporary the Renault style (cf the front face of the Renault Mégane II, first phase). It exchanged its headlights rounded for more triangular headlights, inherited a grill with two grids on both sides the Renault logo and rear lights redrawn.

Since September 2006, Clio II cohabits within the range with its replacing (the Clio III). Clio II was restylée (principal evolutions being a new shield before and a new forage ladder without number plate, this one from now on being fixed on the Pare-chocs). The version which meets the most success is the version " Campus".

It exists in France of versions 3 and 5 doors, with the completions Authentique, Dynamique and special series Sport Way.

It is used as platform with the Twingo II.

Renault Clio RS

History

  • January 2000: Marketing of the Clio Renault Sport 2.0L more commonly called Clio RS1.

  • January 2001: Appearance of the Clio Renault Sport 2.0L Limited , more luxurious version.
  • June 2001: Restylage of the Clio range and marketing of the Clio Renault Sport 2.0L phase 2 (Clio RS2)
  • August 2002: Appearance of the Clio Renault Sport 2.0L Jean Ragnotti , version " light" and radical.
  • June 2003: Limited series PlayStation 2 which begins again milks for feature the definition of the version Jean Ragnotti but with the air-conditioning moreover.
  • January 2004: Leger restylage of the Clio range and technical and esthetic evolutions of the Clio Renault Sport (Clio RS 2004).
  • September 2004: Special series TEAM doing without many equipment of comfort for a price of interesting call.

  • October 2006: Clio news 3 RS Moteur F 4R carried with 200 ch but the performances remain identical, because the weight and volume external increased. Fortunately that the performances remain stable, because Mégane RS would not be credible, compared to the performances which could have been identical if the latter Clio RS had been more powerful.

A version 4 doors exists in certain countries like Turkey (but not in Metropolitan France) baptized " Sedan" , " Classic" , " Symbol" or " Thalia" , even " Platina" under the mark Nissan, according to the markets.
