The Renault Clio I is a Automobile French mark Renault.

History

Clio was born in June 1990, in version 5 doors to start, then in version 3 doors in November 1990, the dynasty of the Renault 5. She knows two intermediate evolutions, in 1994 (Clio Phase 2) then 1996 (Clio Phase 3). Clio will be followed by a second generation Clio II in 1998 and one third Clio III in 2005.

  • 1.4 Cléon (65 ch for 5 CV tax);
  • 1.4 Energy (75 / 80 ch for 6/7 CV tax);
  • 1.7 (92 ch for 7 CV with limps long and 8 CV limp short);
  • 1.8 (95 ch for 8 CV tax);
  • 1.8ie (110 ch for 9 CV tax);
  • 1.8 16v (137 ch for 9 CV tax);
  • 2.0 16v (150 ch for 10 CV tax);
as well as a diesel version:
  • 1,9D (65 ch for 6 CV tax).

The engines 1.1 Cléon, 1.2 Cléon and 1.4 Cléon result from its devancière, Renault Supercinq. The engines 1.2 Energy, 1.4 Energy, 1.7,1.8,1.8ie, 1.8 16v and 1.9D come from his/her large cousin Renault 19. The 2.0 16v is inaugurated on the Clio Williams

Phase 2 (06/1994 - 05/1996)

  • Power-assisted steering on completions RN and RT
  • New grill
  • New side rear view mirrors
  • broader Rod integrating the completion and the motorization

  • New rod of trunk: the logos " Renault" and " Clio" are from now on on the Hayon

Phase 3 (1996 - 1998)

The front face is completely re-examined:
  • the grill from now on is integrated into the Pare-chocs
  • front fires are rounder
  • Antibrouillards round-offs
  • Apparition of the third fire stop on the forage ladder
