Renaud Muselier

Renaud Muselier (May 6th 1959 with Marseilles -), Doctor of formation, is a Politician French. He is the grandson of Emile Muselier, admiral of the Free French Army who took Saint Pierre and Miquelon and which rejoined it with the Général de Gaulle. He is besides the author of a work on this last. He is also the nephew of the queen Geraldine of Albania, wife of the last king of Albania détrôné by Italian in 1939.

Political mandates

  • 1992, then 1993 - 1995: General adviser of the Rhone delta.
  • 1993 : Deputy of the Fifth district of the Rhone delta, re-elected in 1997 and 2002. Resign to enter to the government in 2002. Replaced by its substitute Bruno Gilles. Re-elected in 2007.
  • Since 1995: First assistant of the mayor of Marseilles and Vice-Président of the urban community Marseilles Provence Metropolis, President of the Commission transport since 2001.
  • 2002 - 2005: Secretary of foreign affairs near the Foreign Minister.
  • Since 2004, he is regional adviser PACA. He leads the colors of UMP to the elections, but only third arrives after Michel Vauzelle of the PS and Guy Macary of the FN.
  • Since 2005, Renaud Muselier was Operations manager near the President of the Republic, Jacques Chirac, charged with the French from Abroad.
  • Elected in 2007 Vice-president of the Commission of the foreign affairs of the National Assembly.

He is in particular Chevalier of the Légion of honor.
