Renaud II of Gueldre
Renaud II of Gueldre , known as the Black , born towards 1295, died in Arnhem the October 12th 1343, was duke of Gueldre and count de Zutphen of 1326 with 1343. It was wire of Renaud Ier, duke of Gueldre and count de Zutphen, and of Marguerite of Flanders.
From 1316, he exerted the regency of the Duché of Gueldre, made imprison his father in 1318 and controlled as a wire of the duke of Gueldre , then, starting from the death of his father in 1326, like duke of Gueldre and count de Zutphen .
He fixed several legislative texts in the duchy, the common law in 1321 and of the payment on the dams and channels in 1335. He was combined with his brother-in-law Edouard III in a coalition anti-Frenchwoman. He had a brilliant court?

Widower, it remarie with Nimègue in May 1332 with Aliénor of England (1318 † 1355), girl of Edouard II, king d' Angleterre and of Isabelle de France. They had:
