Renaud II of Clermont

Renaud II of Clermont , born about 1075, died about 1152, was count of Clermont-in-Beauvaisis of 1101 with 1161. It was wire of Hugues {{Ier}}, count de Clermont, and of Marguerite de Roucy.

Married in first weddings about 1104 with Adelaide de Vermandois (v.1062 † 1122), countess of Vermandois and of Valois, girl of Herbert IV, count de Vermandois, and of Alix, countess of Valois. Alix was widowed of Hugues Large the, count de Vermandois and brother of the king Philippe I {{er}}. From this marriage were born:

Marguerite de Clermont (towards 1105 † after 1145), married in first weddings before 1119 with Charles Ier the Good (v. 1083 † 1127), count de Flandre, then in second weddings about 1128 with Hugues II of Campdavaine, Count of Saint-pol., and in third weddings with Baudouin of Ink.

The historians estimate that Renaud had one second wife whose history did not retain the name. Indeed, between the death of Adelaide and the marriage with Clemence, it runs out six years. Knowing that the count has only one alone girl at that time, it appears improbable that it waited six years before remarier and to have a heir. From this marriage were born:

Widower, it remarie in 1129 with Clemence of Bar (1112 † after 1182), girl of Renaud I {{er}} One-eyed the, count de Bar, and of Gisele de Vaudémont. From this third marriage were born:
