Renato Truces

Renato Samuele Treves (born in 1907, Turin - 1992) is a Sociologue and a Philosophe of Italy specialized in the Sociologie of the right.

Truces, supported in 1931 its thesis of doctorate in right on its doctrines saint-simonienne in the Italian thought of the Risorgimento. He taught the philosophy of the right successively to Messine and Urbino. Constrained with the exile in 1938, it is named professor of sociology and philosophy of the right to the Université of Tucumán in Argentine. Returned of Argentina to the Release, he teaches the philosophy of the right to Parma, then as from 1948 with Milan, where he sees himself entrusting soon a pulpit of sociology of the right.

He is the initiator and the cofounder of the Committee of research in sociology of the right of the International association of sociology; he is in particular the author of a Introduzione went sociologia LED diritto .

In 1991, it was made Honorary doctor of the Université Carlos III of Madrid in Spain.

The book has a foreword by the senior Carbonnier. The handbook is an introduction to the sociology of the right. At its beginnings: Vico and Montesquieu, Savigny and Bentham, then Saint-Simon, Auguste Count, Spencer, Tönnies, Durkheim, Gumplowicz, Oppenheimer, then Marx, Engels, Lassalle, Renner and finally, lhering, Kantorowicz, Ehrlich, Gény, Duguit, Holmes, Pound. In the second time, Treves presents the thoughts of the “founders”: max Weber, Georges Gurvitch and Theodor Geiger.
