Renato Corsetti
Renato Corsetti (born the March 29th 1941 with Rome -) is the current president of the Universal Association of Esperanto , UEA. He was re-elected for a second period at the time of the universal congress of Esperanto to Beijing in August 2004.
Biography
After academic works in economy, organization of Undertaken then Sociolinguistique and of Psycholinguistique it worked during long years as directing of a bank in Italy. Starting from the middle of the years 1990, it worked as assistant then as professor of Psychopédagogie of the language and the communication at the university of Rome.It is Espérantiste starting from the middle of the years 1960. It occupied many stations in the movement esperantist (president of TEJO, president of the Italian section of UEA, vice-president of UEA) and currently president of UEA. It defends the idea that the movement esperantistist is a movement to improve the world and not only one simple means of communication for its members.
Renato Corsetti is professor with the International Académie of Sciences. He is also member of the academy of Esperanto.
