Remote monitoring

The remote monitoring is the monitoring remote of a place, public or deprived, machines or individuals.

Uses

The remote monitoring is employed in many situations, generally for reasons of Sécurité:

within the framework of the Road safety, by means of specialized cameras;
for the monitoring of significant places (banks, nuclear plants, etc) and of dwellings, in order to prevent the Intrusion S, burglings and the acts of Vandalism;
for the monitoring of the machines in the event of act of ill will or faulty operation;
within the framework of the Télémédecine, and in particular for the monitoring of the remote patients;
for the Vidéosurveillance like means of prevention of the delinquency;
for the remote monitoring of the children and the vulnerable people.

Principles

The equipment of remote monitoring is divided into several classes.

State and position encoder

The encoders position and state have as a task to give the position of opening buildings, parts and machines. They also make it possible to detect any movement in the buildings under monitoring.

To supervise the doors one equips them with interruptory magnetic coupled or not with a system of Access control.

In order to obtain a state (occupied or not) parts, one has the detectors of movement (Radar S: Infra-red or volumetric) at the most favourable places.

Sensor of sound

Microphone S laid out with strategic sites allow, to listen to the possible intruders, or to hear the occupants of a place.

Sensor of images

Surveillance cameras make it possible to visualize and record the images of the place to protect by transmitting them by video connection, network IP or without wire with a video or data-processing monitor, generally installed in a center of remote monitoring.

Transmitter

In certain cases, the system is supplemented by a numerical telephone transmitter which alerts the center of remote monitoring or the owner of the dwelling as soon as an anomaly is noted or a detected intrusion. Lastly, the remote monitoring can be related to the telesecurity, which on the spot envisages in particular the intervention in the event of intrusion or of faulty operation.

To the other end of the chain, the Operator in remote monitoring, working in a center of remote monitoring, reacts according to the Consigne S given: call at the competent services or the people concerned, intervention on the spot, etc
