Remedy Entertainment
Remedy Entertainment is a studio of development of video games Finnish created in 1995 and established with Espoo, Finland. The company was in particular made known for the development of the series of video games max Payne.
In 1997 Remedy created a Benchmark called Final Reality and in November 1997, it created a new company, Futuremark, to support the development of its program. This new business is now well-known in the world of the video game for its program 3DMark, powerful a benchmark 3D which makes it possible to evaluate the graphics performance of the boards with the last material and software evolutions.
Before forming Remedy, four of the founding members took part in the Demoscene under the name of the group Future Crew. But the team of Remedy is not any more Future Crew.
The series of video games max Payne based on the character éponyme whose life turns to the nightmare one evening in full heart of “Black York City”. Max Payne is fugitive sought by the police force for murder and continued by the NYPD. The series max Payne is also known to have popularized the use of the Bullet-time in the video games.
The next project of Remedy is called Alan Wake, it will leave on PC and consoles new generation.
