Puidoux is a common Suisse of the Canton of Vaud, located in the District of Lavaux.

Geography

Puidoux is located at the edge of the Lac Léman. The commune extends from France to the Canton of Freiburg. On its territory is the Lac of Bret.

It is one of the large communes of the canton of Vaud. Deprived of important agglomeration, the commune is made up many hamlets and isolated farms disseminated around the village.

In the plain of Verney the industrial activities and artisanal concentrate, as well as the school complex and the versatile room. Located close to the junction of the highway, Verney experienced a significant development.

All in the south, we find the vertiginous Soil of plunging Dézaley Name on the wine hamlet of Treytorrens and in the Léman.

Demonstrations

Every year in August, the Bout of Bush Festival is organized on the tops of Puidoux with an aim of promoting the local and Swiss groups of music. This demonstration is free and move regularly more than 5000 people over 2 evenings .
