Reiningue

Reiningue is a common French located in the western suburbs of Mulhouse. It belongs to the department Haut-Rhin and area Alsace.

Geography

At the southern limit of the old potassic basin of Alsace, Reiningue is located at a few hundred meters of the bed Doller in the south (beyond which the Sundgau starts), and of the forest of the Nonnenbruch in north, in the triangle Altkirch - Thann - Mulhouse.

The commune is with the intersection of the secondary roads D19 (Spechbach-le-Haut - Bollwiller) and D20 (Mulhouse - Aspach-le-Bas), near the trunk road N66 (Saint-Louis - Remiremont). It from now on is skirted to the south by the highway A36 (E54), which connects Mulhouse to Beaune.

  • the Abbey Notre-Dame d' Oelenberg, the Monastery and its Mill, built together 11th at the 18th century, is classified with the Historic buildings.
  • the church Saint Romain contains the Reliques of the saint placed in two mountings of XIe and the 12th century as well as the bust of Romain Saint of the 14th century. These relics are exposed in a visible window of the public.
  • the Vault of Deckwiller , on the site of an old village of this name, destroyed by a fire about 1550.
