Reinhard Selten (born on October 5th 1930) is a German economist .

For its work in Game theory, it received in 1994 the “Nobel Prize” of economy, with John Harsanyi and John Nash. It is also known for its work on the limited Rationalité, and can be regarded as one of the founding fathers of the experimental economy.

Reinhard Selten is professor emeritus with the Université of Bonn.

Selten produced works in Esperanto, and supported the German branch of the party Europe - Democracy - Esperanto with the European elections.
