Reinas is a Spanish film carried out by Manuel Gómez Pereira, left in 2005.

Synopsis

During the weekend when will take place the first marriages between homosexual Spanish, several of these couples face the feelings of their parents installed in Madrid or coming purposely for the occasion.

The mothers particularly pass by all kinds of emotions: one, hotel specialized in the gay customers , must face a strike of its cooks whereas it must accommodate the festival of these weddings; one second newcomer of Argentine invades the apartment of his/her son with his bitch of which been engaged to the phobia; a third, nymphomaniac, end up sleeping with his/her future son-in-law whose mother, judges, refuses to celebrate these marriages. The last is forced to accommodate at it for a meal its gardener Cuba in since their respective sons like.

Comments

The film turns certainly around the homosexual couples, but, as the title suggests it, concentrates on the mothers. Each one has its defects and the relation which they maintain with the men, in particular their husband (or former husband) animates film by unexpected discoveries (the striker chief cook is the lover of its owner) and of the scenes without relationship with the marriages (the festival in the gardener). The outcome occurs thanks to the solutions brought by the mothers: they prepare finally themselves the meal, the judge chairs the union, and the mother nymphomaniac ends up finding a fault in her son European Député which allows the reconciliation of the couple that it failed to break.

The bitch, released in nature, makes it possible to connect the intrigues of the various families and to justify the use of a chronology cut out with flashbacks or projections ahead over a few hours of the life of the characters.
