The Reichsmark (abbreviation RM ) was of 1924 to 1948 the official monetary unit of the Weimar Republic (1919-1933), of the Third Reich (1933-1945) and of the Germany occupied by the allied forces (1945-1948).

History of Reichsmark

August 30th, 1924, the mark-paper, which had been completely devaluated during the years 1922 and 1923 because of strong a Inflation, was replaced by Reichsmark.
