Regulation of the Formula 1 1989

This page presents the most important points of the sporting and technical payments of season 1990 of Formule 1.

Sporting payment

  • the attribution of the points is carried out according to scale 9,6,4,3,2,1.
  • Seuls the 11 best results are retained.
  • the GP must last less than 2 a.m. and to have a distance ranging between 300 and 320 km.
  • the préqualifications are reserved for all the single-seaters the least best classified at the time of the preceding championship then at the time of the half-championship in progress. The meeting of préqualifications proceeds Friday morning of 8:00 to 9:00. Four best times the titular pilots of the meeting can take share with the tests qualifiers at the sides of the 24 préqualifiées single-seaters of right.   • Saturday morning of 10:00 to 11:30: free tests (30 single-seaters maximum (26 + 4)).
  • Saturday afternoon of 13:00 to 14:00: second meeting of tests qualifiers (30 single-seaters maximum (26 + 4)).
  • At the conclusion of the two meetings of qualifications, the 26 single-seaters having carried out best times are qualified for the race.
  • a meeting of rolling test in configuration of race (warm-up) is organized Sunday morning, of 10:00 to 10:30.
  • a second warm-up of fifteen minutes can be organized if the weather conditions planned for the race change drastiquement compared to the conditions met at the time of the first warm-up.

Technical payment

  • Driving atmospheric maximum V12 of 3.500 cm ³ of cubic capacity.
  • Engine supercharged prohibited (appeared in 1977, dominators since 1983, the turbo engines are prohibited).
