Regulate with tenons
The rule with tenons , generally named Peg bar , is a tool invented by Raoul Barré, used in Animation, making it possible to immobilize the sheets. It allows a greater stability between each drawing. There exists several type of rules to tenons for the various studios of animation. Those are made up of a bar, graduated or not, on which is inserted small round parts or punts (Tenon S) into various places. The sheets used for animation are then perforated and can be inserted on the rule. Several sheets can then be placed one over the other in order to be able to trust with the preceding drawing to carry out the following drawing. The rule with tenons is generally used jointly with a luminous Table in order to see in transparency the drawings located in lower part of the last sheet.
The rule with tenons can also be called, bars with tenons, regulates with pins, bars with pins or by its English name Peg bar .
