Regulate of Bergmann
The rule of Bergmann is, in Zoologie, a principle which correlates the temperature of the environment with the mass of the body in the animals homéothermes (at temperature interns constant). Among the Mammalian S and the Bird X the individuals of a particular species , in the cold climates, tend to have a body mass more important than those which are native of a hotter region. For example the roe-deers with white tail are larger with the Canada than in the keys of Florida. The rule is named according to the German biologist of the XIXe century Carl Bergmann.
This empirical rule is explained by the fact why the largest animals have a ratio between surface and the volume of the smaller body and thus irradiate less body heat.
