Regrouping of the students and coeds of the cégep of Saint-Hyacinthe

The Regrouping of the students and coeds of the cégep of Saint-Hyacinthe (RÉÉCSH) is the Association coed Cégep of Saint-Hyacinthe. It is a non-profit-making company whose objective is protection, the defense and the promotion of the rights and the interests of the students of the cégep, not only as long as students, but also as citizens. Association is member of FECQ, Collegial the Coed Federation of Quebec.

Spheres of influence

The RÉÉCSH can intervene on several levels. It represents the students on several advisory or decisional authorities.

  • the Board of directors of the cégep: Two students are administrators of the cégep. It is with this authority that the payments and policies are voted. CA receives its capacity of the governmental laws and is used to manage the cégep.

  • Commission of the studies: Four students sit on this advisory authority. This commission makes its recommendations with the Board of directors on any question concerning the programs and the evaluation of the training: sanction of the studies, calendars, etc It advises also the Management of the studies in connection with various teaching aspects of the cégep, for example, the grids of course, the international cooperation, teaching, etc

  • the Board of directors of the Foundation of the cégep of Saint-Hyacinthe: a student sits on this council which manages the funds collected by this same council with an aim of collaborating in the development of the training of the students while taking part inter alia in the financing of purses, development of infrastructures or equipment, training course or school activities and extra-curricular.

  • the committee of the institutional linguistic policy relating to the use and the quality of the French language: Two students sit on this committee being used to ensure the application of the policy of the college aiming at defining its provisions compared to French like communication and teaching, working language like to the control of this one by the students and the personnel.

  • the environmental committee of Cégep: Three students sit on this committee being used for claiming and directing actions undertaken by the directions of the services, colliger and disseminating the information connected to sustainable development, defining the objectives and an action plan and making sure that the policy on the environment and the sustainable development of the cégep is respected.

  • the coordination committee of the policy relating to acquisition, the conservation and the diffusion of the works of art of the cégep of Saint-Hyacinthe: a student sits on this committee which makes sure of the application of the policy of the college the purpose of which is to develop an institutional collection of works of art produced by professional artists.

  • the Board of directors of Collegial the Coed Federation of Quebec: a student sits on this council which approves or rejects the recommendations of the various commissions of the FECQ.

  • the general meeting of Collegial the Coed Federation of Quebec: Four students sit on this council which revises the books of positions of the FECQ, elects the executants of the FECQ, etc

The Board of directors

The Board of directors is composed of a maximum of eighteen elected people who represent their respective programs.

The Executive council

The Executive council is composed of the eight executants of the corporation is the president, the vice-president, the general secretary, the treasurer, the director of the teaching businesses, the director of the internal businesses, the director of the external businesses and the communications director.

The General meeting

It is about the supreme authority of association coed, i.e. it is the decisional authority most important and that she prevails on all the other authorities of the RÉÉCSH. It is with this authority that all the members of the RÉÉCSH, is the students of Cégep of Saint-Hyacinthe, are convened envire once a month. The most important files and of general interest are treated there, that they are the present campaigns (main road or local) or the evolution certain files or teaching mandates with character, social or financial.
