Regrouping of the institutions muséales of the Boiler-Appalachian Mountains
The Regrouping of the institutions muséales of the Boiler-Appalachian Mountains (RIMCA) was born, in 2002, of the will of some museums to gather to form an association of cultural attractions and thus to share their efforts of publicisation, to offer a spokesperson to arise to the media and to ensure a synergy of knowledge and resources to emphasize and to make known their components. At the beginning, it is under the topic “an air of family” that the RIMCA carried out its publicity, with like basic concept associating the museums with historical characters. This topic was however quickly shown too constraining since certain museums could not allow such bonds. It is in 2004, symbolizing the area of the Boiler-Appalachian Mountains, the access to the culture as well as the dynamism of its members, that the logo of the RIMCA was born. For the summer 2007, the topic of the folder was “15 museums, 4 circuits in the most beautiful villages of Quebec”.
