Regional natural park of Armorique

The Regional natural park of Armorique (in Breton: Park year Arvorig ) belonged to the 44 regional natural parks and the 7 national parks. Delivered by the Department of the Environment, this one was 2nd with being created in 1969.

Geography

Located in the Finistere, the park recovers a very contrasted territory, which is divided into 4 territories:

islands of the Sea of Iroise
the Peninsula of Crozon
the maritime Alder
the Mounts of Arrée

Its surface is of 172.000 Hectare S including 60.000 in maritime space (until the Isobathe -30meters). It counts 55.670 inhabitants divided out of 39 adherent communes (more one statuairement associated Brest and 4 others associated Châteauneuf-of-Faou the, Landerneau, Conquet and Quimper) for a Densité, in 1999 of 63 hab/km ².
