The Regional management of the sanitary affairs and social ( DRASS ) is a service decentralized of the ministry French charged with the Santé. There is one by French Région. Each one organizes in various the departmental , the Departmental managements of Sanitary affairs and social directions (DDASS).
There exists 22 DRASS in France placed under the authority of the Regional prefect. One finds near the directors of the DRASS of the doctors and pharmacists regional inspectors.
Missions

health : regional policy of health, public health, as well as the missions within the Regional office of the hospitalization (management of the health care institutions and their resources);

social cohesion and social development by the animation of the various devices of insertion, integration and fight against exclusions;

social protection : control social security offices.
Moreover, the pharmacists inspectors have for mission administrative control “and technique” of the pharmaceutical establishments (pharmacies, laboratories,…) as well as a mission of “control of the drugs and narcotics”. Regional inspectors of the medical genious take care of the hygiene of the medium and the environment.
