Regional Disney Entertainment
Disney Regional Entertainment is a subsidiary company of the Walt Disney Company belonging to the division of the parks and places of leisures. It was created in 1997 to gather the various projects of places of leisures dedicated to the people apart from the parks Disney, more simply the leisures of proximity. They are especially projects born of synergy between the various entities of the group of media.

It is at the base a concept of outdoor center for the children but with the " magie" Disney moreover. Synergy is difficult to find but it is that between the
Disney Institute and the services of the consumables.
Success was not with go and the five sites opened hitherto were closed on November 1st
1999. The advertisement was made the
October 6th 1999.
It is an immense interactive video gaming room to the image of those which Sega had been able to do with the beginning of the year 1990. Synergy is mainly that of

first DisneyQuest opened with the Walt Disney World Resort in 1998, the second in the center of Chicago in June 1999 and the third was to open in spring 2001 in Philadelphia. But because of the bad results of that of Chicago which had to be closed on September 4th, 2001. The other projects all were cancelled and only that of Walt Disney World is always open but only until 2008 according to the decision taken at the end of April 2006.
ESPN Zone is a concept of bar-restaurant on the sport with retransmissions of matches and plays on the sport. It is surttout synergy between ESPN and the Disney parks. the first ESPN Zone opened the summer 1997 with Baltimore in the In Harbor just renovated. The following ones opened during the summer 1998 with New York (Times Square) and with Chicago (being next to the DisneyQuest). The towns of Atlanta, Washington opened in March 2000 while that of the Downtown Disney opened in January 2001. During the year 2001 another opened with Las Vegas in the hotel-casino New York-New York . In 2002, a new ESPN Zone opened in the downtown area of Denver. This eighth ESPN Zone, joining that of Baltimore, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Washington, Disneyland Arises in Anaheim and Las Vegas. the concept goes well and the prototype baptized ESPN open Club in 1996 in the Disney' S BoardWalk of Walt Disney World Resort is always open. Moreover two identical spaces in the boats of the Disney Cruise Line use the same concept. They had been called ESPN Box but for summer moved (to be increased) and renamed Diversions .
Currently Disney tries to develop synergies again but no currently leads to the creation of a new entity of Disney Regional Entertainment.
The most significant project is that (tested the summer 2005 on the Disney employees) , of a service of Disney excursions, baptized Adventures by Disney , in the great American natural tourist places. Two one week routes are proposed: Hawaii and Yellowstone, the Large Canyon would be another route considered.
