Regio of Haut-Rhin

The Regio of Haut-Rhin is a deprived association with public service missions which works as regards transborder co-operation. Its privileged partners are Regio Gesellschaft Schwarzwald Oberrhein (Germany) and Regio Basiliensis (Suisse).

Its territory of competence is the Département of Haut-Rhin. For this reason, its logistical support and financial is, essentially, the general advice of Haut-Rhin, via the Committee of Action for Haut-Rhin (CAHR). It is lodged by the CAHR in Colmar.

Until 2007, its President was Mr. André Klein. However, it does not lay out any more a general secretary since 2004 what blocks its activity and the cooperation actions carried out by its partners German and Swiss, nor of President since September 2007. It is announced since 2005 that the department of Haut-Rhin would name a holder on this station. Alain Favaletto, specialist in the transborder questions and joint author of a recent collective work about Europe (" For European Europe: an avant-garde to leave the impasse" , foreword of the François Loos Minister, Xénia editor, 2007) were indicated on February 1st, 2007 by Mr. Simon, Directeur of the CAHR, to take the position of secretary general. No date however was advanced.
