Creation and various denominations

1671 : Creation under the name of Regiment Royal-Italian
1788: The regiment is reformed:

the 1st battalion becomes the royal Hunters of Provence
the 2nd battalion becomes the royal Hunters of Dauphine
the battalion of the deposit becomes the Hunters of Roussillon
