Dynasty
The regency is one transitional period during which a personality (generally of the royal family) exerts the power in the name of the monarch in title, too young, absent, incompetent to control by itself or not being able to take up its duties generally of king.
Belgium
- 1830 - 1831: regency of Érasme-Louis Surlet de Chokier, until the accession with the throne of Léopold I {{er}};
- 1944 - 1950: regency of Charles, uncle of Baudouin.

Art
The style Régence is the name given to the furniture created in France under Regency at the beginning of the 18th century. Furniture regency precedes the style Louis XV by introducing a contour supported in particular on the level of the feet (of convenient for example) while keeping the imposing and majestic aspect style Louis XIV.
