Refused

Refused is one of the most significant and recognized groups scene Scandinavian Punk hardcore.

This group Swedish was fomé in 1991 around the singer Dennis Lyxzén, of the guitarists Jon Brännström and Kristofer Steen, of the bass player Magnus Höggren and the beater David Sandström. The five make their beginnings with the EP This Is the New Deal, before leaving the album This Might Just Be later… the Truth the same year. The EP Everlasting followed in 1994, then Refused Loves Randy in 1995, before their second album Songs to Fan the Flames off Discontent (1996). In the current of the exit of The Shape off Punk to Like , their third album (1998), Refused announced its separation, incompetent to reconcile the anarchistic line of thought of the group and a musical career.

Time of its activity, Refused held an eminent place on the prolific scene of the Scandinavian hardcore, known for their revolutionary socialist policy Straight Edge and militant, and their combat in favor of the rights of the animals. One (short) career devoted to the fight against oppressions of any nature, through their words, their intense interviews and their concerts….

Since their separation, the former members of Refused joined new groups, like Dennis Lyxzén, became singer of The (International) Noise Conspiracy.
