Refusals Scott (basketball)
Dennis Eugene Scott (born the September 5th 1968 with Hagerstown, Maryland) is a former professional American player of Basket-ball. Winger resulting from the University Georgia Tech, elected player of the year " ACC" at the time of the season 1989-90, Scott was selected by the Orlando Magic with the 4th rank of the Draft NBA 1990 after having been the best marker of the team of the Yellow Jackets which took part in the Final Furnace, and which was member of the famous trio called " Lethal Weapon 3" composed in addition to Scott, of Kenny Anderson and Brian Oliver.
Biography
Scott passed the majority of its career with Magic, gaining the nickname of " there; 3-D" for its capacity to register shootings at 3-points. Until the arrival of Shaquille O'Neal at the time of the draft 1992, Scott and Nick Anderson were the leaders at the registered points of Magic. At the time of the Season NBA 1995-1996, Scott beat the record NBA of shootings at 3-points registered with 267 (which was beaten ten years later by Ray Allen). It also beat record NBA of the greatest number of shootings at 3-points registered on a match (11) the April 18th 1996. During the shooting beating the record, the decisive master key was delivered by its fellow-member and former holder of the record, Brian Shaw (it had registered 10 shootings at 3-points the April 8th 1993). This record was also beaten since by Kobe Bryant which transformed 12 shootings at 3-points the January 7th 2003 and by Donyell Marshall the March 12th 2005. It was honoured by Magic the March 26th 2006 at the time of the program " Remember the Past Nights" , where Magic celebrated their former players. The other players celebrated this evening were Nick Anderson and Scott Skiles.In addition to its long career with Orlando, Scott also evolved/moved under the colors of the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns and to a lesser extent with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks. In 2004, it tried a return in NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers (with its ex-fellow-member and friend of Orlando Shaquille O'Neal), but because of an abundance former large players veterans present in manpower, Lakers decided to continue with a younger player and évincèrent Scott after the camp of drive.
Currently, Scott is consulting with the radio on the Atlanta Hawks. It also achieved its first season as managing general Atlanta Vision of the American Basketball Association.
