The refuge strengthened is located on the commune of Dossenheim-on-Zinsel, in the Département of the Low-Rhine

History

The Kirchhof is a place of peace and asylum

With the the Middle Ages, to protect itself at the time of the feudal wars, the peasants strengthened the enclosure of the church or Kirchhof , place crowned.

They arranged " there; gaden" , cells of habitat-refuge.

The enclosure was preserved because of construction all around dwellings. One of the dwellings was arranged in center of interpretation of the site.
