Reformists and Interdependent

The association Reformists & Interdependent ( RéSo ), founded in September 2004, is a French association directed politically with left, near to the currents reformists of the Socialist party (revolving in particular around Dominique Strauss-Kahn) and of the Syndicat S.

Objectives

It was given for objective “ to sensitize youth with the new stakes of the Mondialisation and with the need for acting against the economic injustices , social or ecological undergone by most stripped ”. For this reason, it militates for the assertion of a “democratic and social European Federation”.

Although little known, association takes part in several movements, such as: 2005 more excuses, Live8, total Network of action of the young people, world Action against poverty, Total Youth Day Service, World Campaign for in-depth International Reform off the Institution, Animated' FAC, and the Collective Linked Against Disposable immigration.

Defended ideas

The ideas defended by RéSo association are for example:

  • the recasting of the left.
  • conservation of the social skills in the reform, and the refusal of the Economic liberalism.
  • the partnership and the dialog with various associations, political movements or trade-union.
  • regulation of universalization and the commercial exchanges.
  • the solidarity with the countries of the south and the support for the Democracy.
  • the construction of political and social Europe.
  • the fight against the Extreme right-hand side and the Nationalism S.
  • the equality of the rights between all the individuals and the recognition of the minorities.
  • the Sustainable development and the interdependent economy.
  • the emancipation citizen and the popular education.

Recent actions

  • In October 2004, it united with some other political associations or trade-union European which invited Jose Manuel Barroso not to name Rocco Buttiglione with the European commission because of matter sexists and homophobes that it would have held.

  • In December 2004, about fifteen militants took part as international observers, and in the sides of the organizations Pora and Znayu , with the good progress of the election S in Ukraine at the time of the Orange revolution.
  • association defended one “yes” of left at the time of the Référendum for the Traité establishing a Constitution for Europe (TCE), which was the subject of a controversy, association not hesitating to put in the same basket people which would have to repeat European constitution and the militants of extreme right-hand side.
  • the association works to make so that the rich countries respect the promises which they make with the rest of the world, which it acts of the financing of the fight against AIDS or the eradication of poverty. For this reason, it was thus present at the Live 8 in Paris and at G8 2005 in Scotland at the sides of ONG of coordination 2005 more excuses.
  • In September 2005, RéSo launched the countryside “AntiSarko”, openly directed against Nicolas Sarkozy, then Minister of Interior Department and future candidate with the presidential elections, and published in January 2006 one entitled book “Sarkozy in the text, to know for better fighting”.
