Reforming movement (Belgium)
The MR. ( reforming Movement ) is a Belgian Political party French-speaking of center-right, resulting from the coalition of several parties. The March 24th 2002, PRL, PF, FDF and the MCC, liberal parties and of center-right, federated in a new pluralist political training, based on the values of the Libéralisme, the reform and “the center happy medium”. In the field of the chess-board socio-policy, MR. is often introduced on the right by distinction of political trainings which assert officially left or center. With the legislative elections of June 10th, 2007, it became the first political party of Wallonia with 31,17% of the voices and Brussels with 32% of the voices.
History
At the beginning of the Years 1990, the liberal parties of Belgium knew sucessives changes with in 1992 the birth of VLD ( Vlaamse Liberalen Democraten ), making following the PVV, then the creation of federation PRL-FDF in 1993. The latter will be extended to the MCC (Mouvement of the citizens for the change), a dissidence of the Parti social Christian, in 1998. Under this banner known as of the PRL-FDF-MCC, the French-speaking liberal family will join again with the capacity in 1999 and after more than one decade of opposition, while becoming until 2003 the first political clout in French Communauté.
Shaken by the business Ducarme (of the name of the president of the Area of Brussels, shown to have made negligences in its tax files), MR. knows a light compressing with the regional elections of 2004 and is made reject into the opposition in the assemblies of the Région of Brussels-Capital, the French Communauté and with the Walloon Parlement. MR. continues however to take part in the Federal government.
Ideology
If, during its creation in 2002, this movement gave up the qualifier " libéral" in its denomination, he does not claim of it less liberalism inter alia values.
Some dispute however positioning with the center-right of Mr.
