John Francis " Jack" Reed (born in 1949) is an American politician, member of the Democratic party and senator of Rhode Island with the Congrès of the United States since 1997.
Jack Reed was born the November 12th 1949 with Providence, Rhode Island.
Graduate of the LaSalle academy in Providence, and graduate in science of military academy of West Point, it continues his studies at the school John F. Kennedy of the university of Harvard where it obtains a control in public policy.
In 1979, Reed leaves the army with the rank of captain to finish in 1982 its studies of right to the university of Harvard.
During some time, he works in a law firm of Washington DC before returning in Rhode Island to join another legal firm with Providence.
In 1984, Reed is elected with the senate of Rhode Island.
After three mandates, in 1990, it is elected with the Chambre of the Representatives of the United States.
In 1996, it is elected with the Sénat of the United States.
Jack Reed is member, inter alia, of the senatorial commission of the armed forces and that on health, education, work and the pensions.
