Trivia

  • Until now, it is the last film to have been nominated with the Oscars in the four categories of actors. No film since 1982 made a success of this exploit.

  • Warren Beatty began turning from interviews with the " témoins" (the " witnesses") as of the beginning of the year 1970.

  • Gene Hackman played the small role of Pete Van Wherry voluntarily. The scene in which this one announces in Jack Reed that Louise Bryant does not work any more for him took 100 catches exactly. Hackman refused to make a 101e taken.

  • Jerzy Kosiński incarnated the role of the revolutionist Bolchevique and member of the Politburo, Grigory Zinoviev. A critic of the Time magazine wrote about it: " Ace Reed' S Soviet nemesis, novelist Jerzy Kosiński receipts himself nicely--has will tundra off ice against Reed' S alAmerican fire." Newsweek complimented Kosinski' S " delightfully abrasive performance."
