Red witch

The Red Witch or Scarlet Witch is a character pertaining to the universe of Marvel Comics. It is mutant and a magician.

Origins

Wanda Maximoff is the girl of Magneto and the twin sister of Vif-Argent. After some adventures within the brotherhood of the bad mutants, directed by their father, Wanda and Pietro decide to put their capacities at the service of the others and thus integrate the team of the Avengers, where they become of the heroes.

Wanda finds the love in the person of the Vision, and awaits two twins of this one. However, it appears that his/her children were not that illusions create unconsciously by the Witch starting from fragments of the heart of Méphisto. The children reinstated finally in the demon, to stop the pain of the Witch, another magician throws a fate to him so that she forgets them completely. The red Witch becomes even leader of Avengers as well as Force Works.

But when she remembered the existence of her children, she enters a terrible and keep silent fury several of her partners Avengers without realizing. Fortunately, the heroes remaining manage to control it and plunge it in the coma. His/her father Magneto enmene then on the island of Génosha in order to look after it with his/her friend the Professor X. But this last does not manage to cure the madness of Wanda. He convenes then the New Avengers and X-Men in order to decide continuations to give to the situation. When those arrive on the island, the Witch uses her quantum capacities to change reality completely and to work it so as to emphasize the mutants, thus it creates the universe of House off M .

Doctor Strange learns that it is not Magnéto which handled his/her daughter is thus changed the world, it is his/her son, Vif-Argent. Magneto, which knows from now on which is at the base of all that, keep silent his/her son. The Red Witch arrives, gives again the life has Vif-Argent and said: " more mutant… ". The world returns to the normal, except that it does not remain more that one hundreds of mutant (Magneto and Iceberg for example lost their capacities). At the end of House off M , one sees the Red Witch good alive, in a village in the mountains.

There is a rumor which says that its two twins would be in fact réincarné as a Thomas Shepherd and Billy Kaplan alias Speed and Wiccan, two members of the Young Avengers. Speed is the capacity super-speed and can explode, while Wiccan is a magician (like his/her mother).

Capacities

The Red Witch is mutant who has the capacity to deteriorate the fields of probability (thanks to creation of her " hex-sphères"). I.e. it can ignite without any physical cause a flammable object, to create tornado, etc spontaneously It is also a witch who followed a drive to the magic. It is today the largest magician of the world with perhaps the Doctor Strange.
