Red river (Michigan)
The river Rouge ( To rivet Red or Red To rivet in English) is a Rivière which crosses the area of the Metro Strait. It is a Affluent of the Rivière Strait. It measures 201 kilometers and is divided into four parts: principal, higher, average and lower.
Its Bassin pouring, which covers almost 1.300 square kilometers, includes whole or part of 48 Commune S different, whose Population exceeds 1.500.000 inhabitants. The river sprinkles most of the center and the North-West of the county of Wayne, a large surface of the southernmost sector of the county of Oakland as well as a small extent in the east of the county of Washtenaw.
The river for a long time was strongly polluted. However, it became much cleaner since an intensive cleaning was carried out in the Années 1990. These measurements of cleaning are regularly renewed.
It gave its name to the Red city River.
