Red of Norway of the west

The red of Norway of the west is a bovine race Norwegian. In Norwegian, it names Vestlandsk raudkolle .

Origin

It belongs to the branch of the Scandinavian races . It is high in south-west of Norway and along the west coast.
L' effective in 2001 was of 310 females and 25 males. 97% of females reproduce in pure race. It profits from a program of safeguarding. In 1995, 13.800 spangles of seed of 15 bulls had been frozen.

Morphology

It wears a red uniform dress, even the mucous membranes. It does not carry horns.
C' is a race of intermediate size. The cow measures 120 cm with the garrot and weighs 400-500 kg.

Aptitudes

It is classified mixed. It produces approximately 4000 kg of milk by lactation and its fine bones and short legs make of them animals of reform classified well like carcass with good output.
