Red Vienna it
red Vienna was to it the nickname of the Austrian capital of 1918 with 1934, whereas it was for the first democratically directed time, by a coalition of social democrats and thesocial ones.
It is for this period that was founded in Vienna the Union of the socialist parties for the international action, which became later the Internationale Socialist two years.
The libertarian movements and communist knew for this period a greater freedom of tone, which was repressed on arrival of the Austrofascisme, to the image of activists like Josef Gerl, condemned to died following an attack against the fascistic mode in 1934.
