Rouge is the Hebdomadaire of the Communist revolutionary league (LCR).
Red contains reports of fights against oppression and the exploitation, of the comments on the international topicality and main road, of the debates on questions of importance for the left and the Extreme left. It does not contain publicity and depends only on the money of the subscriptions and the contributions of the LCR.
Its first number left on September 18th 1968, shortly after the events of May 1968. Quinzomadaire of number 1 with number 17 (May 1st 1969), it passes weekly thereafter. Red became daily on 8 pages during the presidential campaign of 1974, from April 22nd to May 20th, with the assistance of professionals like Herve Hamon and Jean-Michel Helvig, and the contribution day laborer of a team of draftsmen (Wiaz, Piotr and Pélous).
A few months after this successful experience, the LCR decides to assemble its own printing works with an aim of launching its daily newspaper. Rotography is thus created fine 1975 and on its rotary printing-press, Rouge is daily Monday, March 15 1976 at the Friday, February 3 1979. But, become too heavy financial expenses for this organization, Rouge becomes again weekly until today, except during the few days of the Social forum European of Paris-Saint-Denis in 2003.
