The contest of recruitment of Professor of the schools is a contest intended to select the future professors of the French schools.

Place in the training of the future teachers

The CRPE is often preceded one year of preparation (PE1) last to the IUFM, for which there exists a selection process which can differ from one academy to another: in certain academies, it is also necessary to pass an entrance examination (an entrance examination with the IUFM) which generally includes/understands a QCM about the most important matters (Mathématiques, French, Sciences, Histoire and Géographie, etc); these contents are often different from a academy with the other. Physical education and sporting with the choice: race (1500 m) or dances, coefficient 1

Swimming

Since the re-entry of September 2006, the final admission at the year of PE2 is conditioned by the supply of a patent of swimming of 50 Mr. A Attestation of formation to first aid (AFPS) is also obligatory.
