Re-ADSL 2
The Reach Extended ADSL2 is a technique of access High banc making it possible to increase, in term length of copper line, the range of ADSL. It is the subject of the appendix L of the G.992.3 recommendation (or ADSL2) of UIT.
The technique consists with " booster" the lowest part of the spectrum, by sending more energy between 138 and 552 Khz for the down line and between 25,875 Khz and 103,5 Khz for the up line. N the other hand, less frequencies are used what involves flows maxima less than in ADSL1 or ADSL2. This technology makes it possible to prolong from 5 to 10% the range of the ADSL.
The Re-ADSL2 , called by abuse language Re-ADSL or READSL , is an alternative of the ADSL2 and is the object in France of commercial offers of Orange, Free, Nordnet and Nerim since June 2005, after homologation of this standard by ARCEP in May 2005. ARCEP decided to initially open the Re-ADSL with the lines of which weakening is lower than 75 dB and defined a way of calculating of this theoretical value of line loss. Since December 2005, the maximum limit of weakening to claim with offer commercial Re-ADSL was pushed back to 78 dB, giving access to High banc of tens of thousands of additional Net surfers. Widening with lines a little still more weakened is possible if the current offer does not cause too many engineering problems in practice, and thus requires more retreat.
To know the compatibility of your line with the Re-ADSL 2, you can check the technical eligibility of this one.
