Razzie Awards

The Golden delicious Raspberry Awards , or in shortened Razzie Awards (of the English meaning “Gold Raspberries literally”) are a Parodie of reward of Cinéma, created by John Wilson in 1980 to take to the opposite course to the Oscars while distinguishing each year the worst actors, scenario writers, musicians, realizers and films produced by cinema industry. The voters are the members of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation . Traditionally, the nominations for the Razzies are announced a Jour before those of the Oscars, and the rewards are also allotted the day before ceremony of the Oscars.

The English word “ raspberry ” is used in reference to the expression “ blowing has raspberry ”, which means to make a noise of derision similar to that of the Flatulence.

Many actors, realizers and producers famous already received the dedication of a Razzie .

Razzie Award

Worst Career Achievement Award

This reward was decreed of 1981 with 1987 to distinguish the personalities having had the worst end of a career.

Governor' S Award

It is a special distinction allotted by John Wilson to any person whose performance does not correspond to any category of the Razzies . It was decreed in 2003 with Travis Payne for its “particularly poor Chorégraphie” in the film From Justin to Kelly .

    • 2006: Worse excuse for a family entertainment

Prize list since 1980

(NB: the one year prize list X rewards films left during year X in the United States even if the ceremony takes place with the beginning of the year following X+1. It is advisable nevertheless to note that certain sources use sometimes the year of the X+1 ceremony to indicate the one year prize list X, from where possible confusions)
