Raymond Larrabure
Raymond - Eugene-Marcel Larrabure is a French politician, born the January 17th 1797 with Saint-Jean-Foot-of-Port (Yrénées-Atlantiques) and deceased the April 16th 1875 with Argagnon (Yrénées-Atlantiques).
Originating in Saint-Jean-Foot-of-Port, whose his/her father and his grandfather had been mayors, Raymond Larrabure granted his Paris, was accepted lawyer and directed industrial society. He was administrator of the general Insurance company. He was also ordering captain of the national guard of Paris of 1830 to 1847. He was made knight of the Légion of honor.
The 13 but 1849, he was elected appointed the Low-Pyrenees with the legislative Parliament (6th on 10) by 29 137 votes on 29 173. Belonging in the majority preserving, it supported measurements of reaction then adhered to the policy coup d'etat.
The October 25th 1857, “official candidate”, it was elected in the 2nd district of the Low-Pyrenees (Orthez and Oloron) appointed to the legislative Body. It took part in many discussions, intervened in the examination of the budget and complained in 1860 about the insufficiency about financial attributions about the legislative Body.
He was re-elected on June 1st, 1863 in the same district (27 882 votes on 27 955 voters). Rapporteur of the commission of the loan of 300 million 1864, it announced the constant aggravation of the national debt. He gave his resignation in 1865 to make it possible the count Walewski to enter to the Room.
He presented himself in the 1st district of the Low-Pyrenees (Pau), vacant, and was elected on November 4th, 1865 (20 688 votes against 6 572 votes with the candidate of the opposition, Marcel Barthe). The same year, he became mayor of Pau and vice-president of the general advice of the Low-Pyrenees.
The May 6th 1869, Raymond Larrabure was called with the imperial Sénat. It gave up its mandate of mayor and supported, with the Palais of Luxembourg as to the Palate-Bourbon, the government of Napoleon III. The fall of the Empire returned it to the private life.
It was withdrawn in its castle of Argagnon, which it had acquired in 1845.
