Ray Whitney

Ray Whitney (born the May 8th 1972 with Strong Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada) is a player of professional Hockey of the National league of hockey evolving/moving with the Hurricanes of the Caroline.

Career of player

In 1988, it begins its career with the Chiefs de Spokane in WHL. It was fished out by the Sharks de San Jose at the time of the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 1991, with the 32e position. During its career, it successively carried the colors of Sharks de San Jose, of the Oilers d' Edmonton, the Panthers of Florida, the Blue Jackets de Columbus, of the Red Wings de Détroit and of the Hurricanes of the Caroline. It evolves/moves with Hurricanes since the season 2005-06, after having signed a two year old contract of a value of 1,5 million $ per year.

He knew his best season in 2002-03, with a harvest of 76 points in 81 matches.
