Ray F. Smith is a American Entomologiste , born the January 20th 1919 with Los Angeles and dead the August 23rd 1999 with Lafayette (California).

Graduate with the University of Berkeley, it is employed by this one in 1946 and becomes director of department in 1959. He makes appear more than 300 publications and specializes in an ecological approach of the problem arising from the Insecte S vermin.

He receives price C.W. Woodworth. Member of the National Academy off Sciences and others learned societies, it chair off the Entomological Society America. He is Co-recipient of World Peace Prize in 1977.
