, formerly Ragâ in the Avesta, Rages in the Bible (Tobie I, 16), Rages (Greek: Ραγες) under Alexandre Large the or Europos (Greek: ευρωπος, vast; roomy ) for the Séleucides. City of the Province of Teheran, located at 15 km of the town of Teheran.
History
- Zarathushtra would have been born there in 626 av. J. - C..
- Destroyed with the Arab conquest (640).
- Second city of the Abbasid empire after Baghdad.
