Raukar

The raukar (singular: a rauk ) are pillars with strange and suggestive forms carved by the sea in the calcareous rock. Rising with more than 10 meters to the top of water, one finds them along the coasts of the island of Gotland in Sweden, in particular on small the island of Fårö, just in the north of the principal island of Gotland. There is also a site on the island of Öland, another large calcareous island of Sweden in the the Baltic.
