Raphaël (of the Hebrew : רפאל which is read rapha- (to cure) and - El (God); i.e. “God cures”) is the third Archange recognized by the Catholic church and city in the Livre of Tobie.
Biblical account (deuterocanonic)
He was sent by God to cure the Cécité of the father of Tobie and to help it to meet Sarah in order to ensure the descent of Abraham. He also accompanies the Tobie young person in his voyage. The Église honors holy Raphaël like the owner with the travellers. Its liturgical Festival date of the 12th century, it is celebrated the September 29th.
