Raoul VIII of Montfort
Raoul VIII of Montfort Lord of Montfort and Gaël of 1347 with 1394.
Oldest son of Raoul VII of Monfort and Aliénor of Ancenis.
Lord de Montfort and of Gaël, it marries in 1353 Isabeau of the Rock-Bernard, lady of Lohéac, heiress of these fields and which died the October 10th 1400.
It is made prisoner with the Bataille of Auray in 1364. Its castles of Montfort, Gaël, Comper and Mauron are taken and destroyed by the French troops in 1373. In 1375, it makes restore those of Montfort and Comper and surrounds the town of Montfort-on-Meu wall. Rejoined to Bertrand of Guesclin it follows it in Spain and dies in Nantes the March 28th 1393.
Of its union are resulting:
- Jeanne de Montfort, rams of Cramoult and of Beaumont, marries of Guillaume Raguenel, Viscount of the Suspension brace, then of Raoul de Beaumont.
- Guillaume de Montfort, dead the September 27th 1432, which was bishop Saint-Malo in 1423 and cardinal.
