Raoul Roy (brother Marie Stanislas Roy O.P., occasional pseudonym Roger Beausoleil ) (1914-1996), was a Journaliste, essay writer and militant Nationaliste Québécois.

Roy is resulting from a family of farmers. Faithful to its old patriotic convictions, Roy is made the defender of a Idéologie extremist where meet Nationalisme and Socialisme. In 1965, Roy is engaged with the newspaper Subway-express train ; the following year, he becomes documentalist with the Société Radio-Canada where he remains until his retirement towards the end of the year 1970. Faithful to its modest origins and the working world, Roy worked in parallel as taxi driver of 1969 to 1970. After the disappearance of ASIQ in 1963, it takes an active part in various other political movements of which the republican Front for independence (1964-1965) and especially the Comité for the independence alarm clock (CRY), founded in 1981 and become in 1987 the Carrefour of independence resistance (also known under the name of S.O.S. Genocide).

Today, Roy is regarded by several as the spiritual father of FLQ (Front of release of Quebec).
