Raoul
Raoul, the roleplay which feels under the arms , is a creation of Patrice Larcenet with drawings of his/her brother, Manu Larcenet, published by the Dreamers of Rune (which will publish thereafter several cartoons of Manu Larcenet while becoming the Dreamers).
Left in 1994, it is presented in the form of a roleplay making it possible to incarnate “Beauf S”, “people who live at the ground floor of France of in-low and which spends their summer holidays to the camp-site”. The deliberately satirical tone, combined with the humorous feature of the draftsman and a weak selling price, make of this play a large popular success which is sold with 3.000 specimens (whereas at the time, the plays headlights of the medium are sold with 1.000 specimens).
The “Raoul”, this suburban with “the very average” French paces, who strongly resemble the “beauf” immortalized by the draftsman Cabu, finds himself besides frequently in the cartoons of Manu Larcenet (such as for example in the legend of Robin of Wood ).
