Viaduct of Ransom
The viaduct of Ransom, between Limoges and Châteauponsac is one of major works of art which remain time of the departmental Tramway. Its construction goes back to 1912. The viaduct allowed the passage of the trams (metric gauge track) of the Limoges line - Saint-Sulpice-the-Sheets the top of the steepsided valley of the Gartempe. Of a 138 meters length and a maximum height of 27 meters, it counts 9 arches of 9 meters opening and a slope continues of 5,5%. It was exploited of 1912 with 1949.
